3.0/51 Reviews

Located in the spectacular landscape of Northern British Columbia, UNBC is recognized nationally and internationally for outstanding undergraduate and graduate learning opportunities that explore health, culture, business and the environment. Guided by our motto “En Cha Huna” interpreted from the First Nations Dalkeh language as “respecting all forms of life” our educational approach is inclusive and collaborative – staff, faculty, alumni and community leaders are committed to student success.

UNBC is a welcoming community, home to a friendly, social and supportive environment. One in four of our students receive a financial award from the $3 million in available scholarships and bursaries contributed by our generous donors. Small class sizes, hands-on learning and fantastic outdoor recreation have made UNBC the top choice for post-secondary education for almost thirty years. As Canada’s Green University™, we are leading the way to a more sustainable future for all. The student research experience is critical at UNBC. Programs such as the Undergraduate Research Experience Awards and the Undergraduate Experiential Service Learning Program are providing more students, at earlier stages in their academic careers, opportunities to engage in the research environment.

Majors are limited. The classes have low student to teacher ratios so you can ask questions when you don’t understand and you aren’t judged for it.
