Tuition fees can range from $6,500 to $59,000 based on what and where you study. Generally, colleges tend to have a much lower tuition fees than universities.

Many students ask us: “Do I need to finish my current studies to be eligible to apply?”. The answer is no.

For example: If you are applying for a college or university, you do not need to complete your high school education before applying. Being in your last year of high school (i.e. grade 12 in most countries) is the minimum requirement to apply for a college or university.

The general rule is, as long as you can demonstrate that you are qualified for certificate of graduation before starting your studies in USA or Canada, you are eligible to apply today. 

Required documents when applying to an undergraduate program:

If you are applying for an undergraduate program (i.e. a program that only requires a high-school level of education), you will need your high school transcript written in English/French and it must show all of your grades obtained from all years of high-school (usually grade 9 – 12).

If you have finished high-school, your high-school graduation diploma/certificate is also required.

You will also need a copy of your passport (if you have one). 

Some undergraduate programs due to high level of competition (i.e. Commerce, Computer Science, Engineering etc.) require you to submit supplementary documents such as personal statements, references for extra-curricular activities, awards and video interview&essay. 

Required documents when applying to a post-graduate program:

Post-graduate programs require a higher education degree or diploma. For instance, most master’s programs require a four-year bachelor’s degree (three-year bachelor’s degree is not accepted generally) and most post-graduate certificate programs need at least a three-year bachelor’s degree or an undergraduate diploma. Note: only master’s degree is qualified for Provincial Nominee Program regarding immigration purpose. 

If you are currently still a post-secondary student, you will need to provide your latest transcript when submit your application. After you have been admitted, you must submit official transcripts from each institution listed in your application.

The final transcript should show all work completed and the conferral date of the degree. This also serves as your degree confirmation. When you request a final transcript from your institution, verify that the transcript states the date that the degree was conferred or awarded.

Master’s programs require 2-3 recommendation letters, résumés, essays, a statement of purpose and/or video interview.
